Sixth form trip to Barcelona - November 2023

We had a fantastic trip to Barcelona where students could experience new social, historical and cultural experiences.  We stayed in the heart of the city, just off La Ramblas where we had all of the local amenities just a stone’s throw away. 

We visited a vast array of landmarks, including the Olympic Stadium ,the MNAC modern Art Museum, Parc Guell and the famous Sagrada Familia where we enjoyed a guided tour.  Our guide informed us of the many people who have  carried out Gaudi’s vision and the detail which lies within the architectural choices of the building. Even down to the names of the characters on the front of the building!

Many students said the Sagrada Familia was a highlight of the trip.  We also enjoyed a cable car which gave us a bird’s eye  view of Barcelona on the way to Montjuic Castle.  Students also experienced the cultural cuisine of the area with a meal in the local Restaurant. 

This was our first sixth form trip to Barcelona and we definitely hope to run it again in the future.
